Buying and activating a licence
Buy a licence
Go to the buy page and press Buy InterDirector. Checkout is handled by Polar, and your licence key is sent to the email address you give there, usually within moments.
Enter your key
In InterDirector, open InterDirector → Licence…, and enter your key where it asks for one, then press Activate. That Mac is now licensed.
Two Macs
One licence covers two Macs at once, such as an operator Mac and a spare. Activating a third is refused; see Moving a licence to another Mac to move one instead of buying a second licence.
Checking where you stand
The Licence window always shows the same thing the startup window and a refused output’s alert show: whether you are licensed, on a trial, or need attention, and until when. InterDirector checks this when it starts, and again from time to time while it runs; if it cannot reach the licence service, it keeps relying on its last answer for a few days rather than refusing anything, so a bad connection never stops a job in progress.
If something is wrong
A licence never ends a show that is already running: whatever is streaming, recording or otherwise on air when a licence runs out keeps running until you stop it. The change only applies the next time you start an output. If your key is refused and you believe it should not be, write to info@interdirector.com.
