Install InterDirector

InterDirector runs on an Apple Silicon Mac with macOS 15 or later. If your Mac does not meet that, InterDirector will not open; see what you need for the rest.

Download and open the installer

1. Go to the download page and press Download for macOS.
2. Open the file once it has downloaded. macOS asks for your password, because the installer puts InterDirector in Applications.
3. It opens without a warning: the installer is signed and notarised by Apple, so Gatekeeper does not block it.

The installer also puts in the Stream Deck plug-in, if you use one. You do not install that separately.

Starting it for the first time

The first time InterDirector opens, it asks what to do:

• Start Fresh opens a new, empty Show.
• Open Existing Show… opens a Show file from disk.
• Load Last Auto-Save only appears if InterDirector has something to recover, such as after a crash.

Updating it

InterDirector checks for updates itself, when it starts and once a day, and never installs one without you saying so. It does not check while you are streaming, recording or sending NDI. You do not need to download the installer again for an update.
